Six swimmers from Tyde Masters participated in our first team meet at the Frank Clark Classic in Greensboro on March 5, 2011. This was the first official Masters meet both for our team and for four of the six swimmers, and we had a great time!
Tyde started the meet strong with a 1-2 finish by Coach Doug and Stu in the Men's 45-49 1000 freestyle. Steve followed up with a personal best of 14:16.13 in the 1000 free, winning the Men's 55-59 division. Steve also had a personal best of 1:20.62 in the 100 IM.

Coach Jennifer contributed with wins in the 45-49 Women's 50 free, 100 IM and 50 breast. Coach Doug followed his 1000 victory with a win in the 50 fly, and Dan turned in great performances in the 50 and 100 breaststroke in the Men's 45-49 division. Stu won the 45-49 Men's 50 free with a 25.07.
The guys wrapped up the meet with a decisive victory in the Men's 200 Free Relay, taking an early lead and never relinquishing it.
We celebrated afterward at the Old Town Draught House in Greensboro. Great meet, everyone, and let's get ready for States!
